In general the good cost that would recommend; my recommendation this in spite of depend in that am speaking to, if you are simply in need of the book that shows that some minerals ideally looks in thin section partorisca help your diagnostic in optical mineralogy then yes, ossia the good compraventa . A quality of a book is fantastic with for real in amazing pictures. A info is not sufficient partorisca another quell'interest or general use. You recommend pairing this book with an Optical Mineralogy: Principles and Practical [Paperback] Hake D Gribble (Author) this reservation returned very together, with this book of thin section that resupplies one imagining and a principals and practises it that it resupplies an information.
Like this, in general, is studying to the optical mineralogy likes them the part of yours terracing of geology, well a compraventa, quite economic in relevance to some other books in your cast to read.
This book is well to identify minraux in thin section, ideal for these examinations and practical, although it has limited enough so it does not cover all some minerals will find in first same Geology of year.

I have wanted to drive pictorial for use with my petrological microscope. Ossia Perfect and has all a detail more a correct terminology (memory of my formation of geology). So only that have required and now can begin to do my own slides. Perfecto for one student that requires drive full, and an amateur that requires the reference. A lot of pictures, so only that has required for use with my microscope.

This book is extremely useful to identify minraux under thin section, especially so that has any leading experience. It is very clearly it dips it was and the signals was all some look of precise things was paralizaciones .
Highly would recommend it to any one studying sciences of the earth or anything concealed involves thin sections!

The additional book adds partorisca beginner mineralogists. The pictures are utmost, but of course a lot all the minerals and the textures so only can be identified by images. It was useful to aim more versions of the each mineral in of the photos, i.et. Alterations, textures minrales different in settings of sure rock, etc. In general a lot good to teach my undergraduate students.

This book is writing a lot well , can ensure calm of that.
This in spite of, is trying to compare he with that see in the level 2 course of Geology, he a lot necessarily gel.
That when be said - is calm to designate you would know, (twinning, forms of glass etc) and in spite of some thin sections that I am far more augmented that you could take of a magnifiers on-line in your level 2 geo run, is not too hard to dip them hover - although at the beginning looked, can remain believe the one who that see is in no way one same.

In general, would say that this calm book gives to add take thin sections, but does not expect it partorisca translate your course exactly partorisca you.

Has used this book in my form of Mineralogy as it has had them has not used never the microscope before partorisca look in thin section. These some diagrams the description in a book gives the point of start adds partorisca learn minéral and identifying types of rock in of the thin sections. This also will be useful in the others to forms likes him to him the sedimentology partially in a diagenesis of conferences. A diagenesis is diagrams of identifiable interior in a book.

In general: This book gives the most practical observation of geological processes but mainly give the big fund in of the types & of rock of the minerals under thin section

has BOUGHT RECENTLY the copy of of the this to complete my second hand that polarises microscope. A text is clear, informative and very written, but a real force of this book is a quality of dishes / of the colour of a press. The descriptions written is any substitute to see some minerals in thin section. The dishes are relatively clear, big and to print of good quality - value the words of thousand! So only I can say that that wishes that has had access to this when it was them the first Tierra of Sciences of year undergraduate some 30+ years ago! A must buys for any undergraduate student, or, taste, of the living fossil revisiting a subject (for interest and like) with which a lot of years were! Compraventa And enjoy

has bought this book to help my form of Petrography for MINE of mine and was perfect. Having has not studied never this particular area of geology/of archaeology before the found a fashion to write simple and easy to comprise. Although some have said that it is basically the book of 'beautiful pictures'...Well Ossia partially true - but for me is an invaluable help the identification when in a microscope.
4 / 5 Karine
Has bought this atlas and basically everything is really is quite pictures. Any value of the money. If it love real help in the then shabby mineralogy "A practical introduction the optical mineralogy" for Gribble and Room instead.
An atlas by heart is drives of real beginner like shows some perfect examples of several rocks in thin section and some mineral some plus populate. A section in feldspars is well, but could go of more detail - the only aims sanidine, microcline and plagioclase for some odd reason.
To the equal that results this book dips unused for three years and was the sheer waste. Spend your loans in other books for Mackenzie - but no east a!

Are the first Tierra of year that Sciences of studios and found this invaluable book, as it drives of review but also to clear on anything was unsure on.

Some photographs are excellent and a text a lot-written.

Appreciates, this in spite of, concealed for some can be bit it basic: no really I see to use this a lot besides this first year of my diagram of terracing.

In short, adds for the best basic understading, but no the investment of term along utmost... I have taken the mine loaned of a library joined - perhaps the better idea.

At present they are that it studies geology by means of an Open University, and was really struggling partorisca take my boss around those in fact tried minerals partorisca identify. It is hard to read the description of the mineral and then try interpret it visually. This book is coming to a rescue and has been invaluable mine. The pictures and the good book am utmost.
4 / 5 Lorita
A book has arrived punctually, and do the addition a lot of coloreada in mine bookshelf.
Rocks and Minerals in thin section really does like the title suggests. Some photographs are very clear, aiming all cleavage lines etc. With painting very good. A text is informative. They are very pleased with him, the good compraventa and concealed would be necessary help on and on again.
5 / 5 Gertrud
This book is the measure of useful pocket and there is particularly colours and clear press. It is a lot of gain the students of geology, giving both slowly polarised and the crusader seen of polar thin section of some main rocks and minérales.
5 / 5 Macie
Like the a lot of rusty geology Or studying looked for the fast reference partorisca mineral common in thin section - this book is a lot near of a reference of level of book of ideal entrance.

Formed: Hardcover Ossia the very skilled book , more geography and geology that has come, but an author tries to connect geological facts with his effects in of the vineyards. For example, it informs to a pebble-like earth of a Medoc and explains the one who this affects some vineyards there for reason of a different class of drainage this type of earth there. There are a lot of very useful diagrams and photographs partorisca resupply the clearest images to our alcohols partorisca read. Ossia The very interesting book so that they already have the abonos take systems of Tierra. A fashion of a text assumes that has some background knowledge before trying for the bed. I think that that an author has achieved to surround it a lot well of cosmogenic affects in some rocks under our feet and his applications in a studio of geology. It recommends it to any interested in this field.

This book is in so much detail is delicious, albeit enough the hard book to comprise fully. A subject @@@subject is a lot interesting, and a book is a lot written - although predominantly the book of geology,a background knowledge and confidence in chemistry, the physics and the mathematician would be advantageous first to try to comprise one in of the questions of text and diagrams.

Like the MSC Graduate in Exploitation Minérale has found this extremely useful work in my investigation. A text is written clearly, with types of settings and concrete pasts dice of separate chapters, which leaves a student/professional partorisca see some effects of Ore of types of process/of different alteration in of the minerals in of the half different means more easily.
A reader can look for the type of yacimiento minéral and remark an imagine which are created in some have spent, and also is information of date in of the locations of imposiciones of has spent that imports around a world.
Some references am a lot of gains some needs of reader partorisca know more in the alteration of past/minérale/region of concrete/setting of Ore.
During my petrology of studios spent a textural the information is entrance very useful in an evaluation of yacimiento minéraux, both past benification and evaluation of imposición.
Some dishes would benefit partorisca be in colour, but some tables of identification minérales in a backside is invaluable. Especially when a reader is inexperienced.
I thouroughly recommends this book in any imposición of past evaluator.
