この商品の大欠点は、鑑賞に耐えられないほどひどくはないが、ところどころ、かすかなノイズが聴こえること。それさえなければ、星5つ。

序曲はスローテンポなので、テクスチャー・転調がよく聴こえる。序曲の終わりのところ、オケがリズム外しているのを久しぶりに聴いて懐かしかった(ということは、この音源は、私が昔、所有していたフルトヴェングラー指揮/同オペラ/アナログ盤と同じ音源なのだ)。本編もスローであり、きめが細かく、ストーリーの流れが良く、最後まで一気に聴くことができる。なぜならば、このフルトヴェングラー指揮による《ドン・ジョヴァンニ》は、言うまでもなく、喜劇性よりもロマン性が勝るからだ。

チェーザレ・シエピが良い・・・と言うか、これまた言うまでもなく、この公演の歌手陣は、そうそうたるメンバーだね。例えば、シュヴァルツコップ(ドンナ・エルヴィーラ)は、第2幕第2場のアリアを熱唱している。エリーザベト・グリュンマー(ドンナ・アンナ)は、第2幕第4場のアリアを丹念に歌っている。エーデルマンの「カタログの歌」は絶品。

このフルトヴェングラー指揮による《ドン・ジョヴァンニ》と、私が日頃、愛聴して来たベーム指揮による(3種類の)《ドン・ジョヴァンニ》とを、聴き比べて見る、と、ある意味、両者は対照的である。したがって、両者の聴き比べは、両者の《解釈》《性質》の違いが分かって楽しい:カール・ベーム盤はフルトヴェングラー盤より、テンポが速いので、テンションが高い。しかも、論理的(?)。
尤も、フルトヴェングラー盤も、勿論、テンション高く、論理的(?)。

Furtwangler Registers of Complete Studio – To all the cost of Focus.

Was unaware of any Dobrowen or Sebastian and both treat well although, of course, is Flagstad voice that resplandores especially. A Tannhäuser excerpt is finely nuanced and exquisitely phrased, whilst, joined for Elisabeth Höngen, Flagstad expresses Isolde tricks ironic and then sinks to articulate a deeply serious curse. These advantages to a Liebestod that seldom can be be sing in the more heartfelt way. Dobrowen The accompaniment is ravishing.

A Flagstad voice, surely unmatched in dramatic intensity until Birgit Nilsson, is restrained in a Wesendonck-Lieder where an advantage to balance a piano. やっと長年の謎が氷解した。
もしこのスウェーデン放送のテープを補正せずバイロイトの第九として、最初からリリースしていてくれたら、自分のフルトヴェングラーに対する奇妙な違和感を、1977年(ベートーヴェンの没後150年)以来感じずに済んだ…

確かに当盤は70年の経年劣化を経て、スピーカーで幾らボリュームを上げても歴史的音源ぐらいにしか聴こえないし、奇妙なテープヒスや繰り返される異音、ハッキリそれと判る損傷、さらに肝心のバリトンソロから合唱が入る部分には、電話のベルらしき混入音まであり、そのような状態でマトモな鑑賞の対象足り得るのか?と疑問を抱く人が多いのはもっともなのだが…
ヘッドフォンでボリュームのツマミを思い切り上げた先に、途方もないフルトヴェングラーワールドが拡がる事に気がつく…
かつてのEMI盤で感じずにいられなかった違和感の主なものは、

①合唱の残響が長すぎ、バイロイトの舞台でオーケストラを並べ合唱付交響曲を演奏すること自体に疑問を抱かずにいられなかった事。

②有名なラストのアッチェレランドが、あまりにも唐突で、私の友人はいきなり笑いだした…ことすらある。その余りに突出したフィナーレと前後のなんとも居心地悪い違和感…

③合唱とオケとおそらくは指揮者ともズレた音源が、ゲネプロを編集したものかも知れないと判明したのが、バイエルン放送による2007年盤だが、EMI盤に対する不信感が強すぎて、どうせ変わんないよと、今まで聴かなかった。それくらいEMI盤に対して不信感?違和感の塊だった…

④フルトヴェングラーの精神性の代表の様に言われる(吉田秀和が最初らしい)歓喜の主題が、コントラバスから聴こえない位小さく始まり、自在なテンポ変化でまさにフルトヴェングラーの真髄と考えられてきた事…などだが、これらは殆どゲネプロと本番テイクの混在、もしくは全てゲネプロ音源である事に起因していたようだと解る。

当盤に聴かれるバイロイトの第九は、それらの唐突さや合唱とオケの齟齬が全くなく、フルトヴェングラーの一貫した解釈が、頻繁過ぎるテンポの変化すら実はそれほどでなく、自然なテンポ・ルバートだった事が聴けば誰でも解ると思う。

私も友人もなんだこれは…と感じたラストも、これなら納得がいき、最初は余りの迫力に戸惑いがちな拍手にブラボーが入り始めると、自室ですら落涙しそうになった。

もし自分が現場にいたら、号泣すると思う。

不自然なテープ編集を取り除くだけで、演奏の録音はこれ程変わる。
それが解るまでに、なんと70年を要した。
まだ私達の世代は間に合ったからいい様なものの、吉田秀和や小石忠男はじめ故人が、これを知ったら…ハッキリ言って怒るのではないか?と思われるほどだ…

余談ながら70年代のカラヤンのシベリウスの再録音の余りの音質の酷さにショックすら受け、以来40年これも不可解だったのだが、Amazon-Music-primeでワーナーによるリマスタリング音源を聴いて、カラヤンの再録音コンセプトの意味を完全に理解したのを思い出した。
恐らくフルトヴェングラーやカラヤンほど記憶されていない、だが私達が敬愛するマエストロ達の録音にも、そのような事が数限りなくあるに違いない。
録音藝術もこれから過去の誤ったイメージを次々に更新されるであろう。
まだまだ音源比較は辞められそうもない…

EMIがゲネプロと本番の編集盤、オルフェオとこのスウェーデン放送盤が本番だと決定づける一枚だ。
録音もフルトヴェングラーの芸術を味わう上で支障はない。彼のスコアリーディングの凄さを十二分に味わえる。
歓喜の歌の変奏部分で、ウィーンフィル盤がカンタービレをかけ、女性的に思いっきり歌うところを、この盤では男性的だ。さすがワグナー専門オケという感じだ。
4楽章の合唱団と4人のソリストは、EMI盤より明らかにテンションが高い。歌唱陣が本気なのがEMI盤との大きな違いだ。特にハンス・ポップが凄い。

これまでにベートーヴェンのバイロイト第九は3枚持っているが、今回のスウェーデン放送所蔵音源による本盤は本物中の真の本物でこれ以上のものはおそらく永遠に出てこないものと思われます。それだけに十分満足しています。このライブ盤は未来永劫、人類の宝ともいわれているものです。

Some exceptionally registers of good quality here. Windgassen An outstandingly good new Bayreuth was Heldentenor, different, softer, thinner and smoother that his pre predecessors of war Melchior and Max Lorenz. Some will prefer a sheer beats and stentorian tones of some earlier singers, but has a lot of mine admired in his lyricism down declared- and any Bayreuth bark - just test to first disk with Lohengrin extracted and registers sooner of Hollander. A main advantage of this compraventa is some unusual elements: Pfitzner : it Gives Rosa von Liebesgarten. Lortzing: It gives Wildshutz, ,Of Albert: Tiefland and Strauss: Guntram, all duquel show of Windgassen virtuosidad and impressive row. A subject splendid in small in £1 the disk.

A mine new singer, impressive voice, could not complain roughly price A BARGIN.
